Botanical Name:  Cymbopogon Martinii 

Palmarosa is a sweet, rosy like aroma. Pale yellow or pale olive in colour. It is one of the best natural sources of geraniol, which has a sweet, rose-like aroma, and is thus very popular with soap and cosmetic manufacturers. It is particularly good for tension and exhaustion and helps to relax. 

Plant Family: Poaceae (Gramineae).

Method of Extraction: The oil is steam distilled from the whole cut herb, i.e. the flowering heads, the leaves and stalks.

Madagascar is known to produce the finest Palmarosa oil. It also comes from India.
